Introduction and objective: urethroplasty for posterior urethral stricture requires experience surgeon to reducing the recurrent stricture. Objective: to evaluate the success rate of procedures for posterior urethroplasy dependant on clinical kind and to determine the various operative details for the successful results. Patients and methods: From Jannuary 2006 to Mars 2013, at Sinh Dan Hospital
a total of 57 patients with posterior urethral stricture underwent urethroplasty dependant on clinical kindby the sameprimarysurgeon group. Success were defined as no obstructive urinary symtomps, Qmax ~ 15ml/s, normal urethral imaging and the patients were followed more than 3 months. Results: A total of 57 patients were included in this study. Anastomotic posterior urethroplasty were successfully repaired in 50 of 57 patients (87.72 percent). Mean operative time was 235:f: 117 minutes (range 150 to 360 minutes). Mean follow-up was 8.63 + or - 1.79 months. Conclusion: urethroplasty for posterior urethral stricture is feasible to reach the good results with the surgical steps to improving the ciculation of urethra.
