Virus caused pox disease in goat in Ninh Thuan province were isolated from goat testicular cells and the isolated virus was continuously used for classification by analysis of the sequence of nucleotides and amino acids of its P32 gene, and then comparison with P32 gene sequence of goat pox virus and sheep pox virus which were published in the Gene Bank. The results of comparison and classification showed that nucleotide and amino acid sequences of P32 gene of the isolated virus strain (Vn07Nt1) contained 969 nucleotides, non-stop codon, allowing to decode using standard code, which consists of 322 amino acids. There were some important identification characteristics on P32 gene of goat pox virus for distinguishing with sheep pox virus that was non-codon at the site 55 for encoding aspartic acid. In addition, for nucleotides at six sites: 77, 275, 403, 552, 867 and 964 were important "point mutations" making five of six these point mutations to have the substitution on the amino acid sequence.
