The research employs value chain analysis to examine distribution of benefits in the striped tuna value chain in Khanh Hoa. The results show that development of this value chain fails to ens lire equal distribution of benefits among participants: Fishermen create the biggest added value and receive the lowest benefit while purchasers and seafood processing companies gain the biggest benefit although the added values they created are smaller. Moreover, fishermen suffer the highest degrees oflosses caused by price fluctuation and business risks while purchasers face the least risk. The development of this value chain, therefore, lacks attachment and sustainability. The research offers some petitions to adjust distribution of benefits and risk among participants in this value chain.
