This paper presents the application of method complex-algebra to solve the kinematic analysis of walking beam eight bar transport mechanism. By constructing the loop-closure equation and basing on description of complex-algebra have established the relationship of the kinematic parameters needed to calculate. From the loop-closure equation, the authors have determ ined displacement, angular velocity and angular acceleration of mechanism. Thence, the orbit, velocity and acceleration of all points on the links are determined. All results are achieved efficiently and quickly by using Matlab software.
