The paper study the antibiotic resistance and resistance mechanisms of N. gonorrhoeae. The authors sequenced a part of gyrA and parC genes of 71 strains from patients admitted at the National Hospital for Dermatology and Venereology with urethral and vaginal discharges to understand the resistance mechanisms to ciprofloxacin. Ciprofloxacin-susceptible strains (MIC 0.002 - 0.060 Ug/ml).
