Sustainable and clean agricultural development is one of the targets of Vietnam agricultural sector. Organic agriculture and agriculture with GAP are the ways to develop clean agriculture which have been encouraged all over the world to provide high quality and safe agricultural products to consumers while bringing no dammage to environment. In Vietnam, the area of GAP and organic agriculture is only about 10 thousand hectares, making up insignificant propotion of the total agriculture area. To speed up the transition towards sustainable and clean agriculture, it is neccesary to implement simultaneously several solutions, including improving mechanism and policies, improving technical regulations, enhancing implementation monitoring, communicating with and transfering technology to farmers, and developing demonstration models of supply chain for safe agricultural products.
