The reasons for the study: To meet the research completed for astrgalus in the treatment of complications of diabetes mellitus, the authors have built empirical models of type 2 diabetes renal complications and drug testing on all models. Research methodology: Cause empirical model on white rats a prolonged diet rich in fats and low dose streptozocin. Main results: Causes the white rat model of diabetes with renal complications in high-fat diet lasted 210 days and 30mg/kg dose streptozocin. Astragalus doses 3g/kg tends to lowering blood glucose, lipid and proteinuria best. Dose astragalus 6g/kg increases liver enzymes. The conclusion: Astragalus compound effective support in the treatment of diabetic complications.
