The aims of the study were to propose the indication and to evaluate results of T-ventilating tube with tympanoplasty. the authors studied retrospectively 77 patients with chronic otitis media who underwent the T-ventilating tube with tympanoplasty at the Otology Department of the National ENT hospital from 1/2002 to 8/2003. Patients were foliowed for at least 12 months. The success rate was 86,67 percent with 57,78 percent ABG 20 dB. This outcome illustrated that the tympanoplasty may be performed to treat supperative COM, but the removal of epidermic cells and restoration of ME air space by T-ventilating tube were important.
