On the basis of analyzing and synthesizing the results of research on Le Quy Don, and investigating the literary legacy that he bequeathed, this paper carries out a classification and judgment about Le Quy Don's philological activities as seen from the contemporary academic environment. The Sino-Nom heritage that Le Quy Don relayed is an invaluable asset. With the 30 sets of books that are still in existence today, Le Quy Don deserves to be considered one of the most exemplary anarchical philology activists. Together with his literary and poetic works, and compilation archives grasping the whole of almost every academic aspect in medieval times, Le Quy Don is truly the first individual to summarize Vietnamese culture in an appreciative manner.
