The content of this article is part of the results of research title "Nutrition status of hospitalized patients and KAP status on nutrition of caregivers and medical staff at Haiduong hospital". The research aimed to show the results of KAP study on caregivers of hospitalized patients by in-depth interviews and structured questionnaires interviews. A cross sectional study was conducted with the involvement of 302 caregivers of hospitalized patients at Hai Duong province hospital from March to June, 2009. The results show that the percentage of hospitalized patients who were advised on nutrition was vety low (26.5 percent). Only 10.9 percent of hospitalized patients bought food at canteen of hospital. But the need of utilization of food and nutrition services of hospitalized patients in hospital was vety high. Enthusiastic attitude of medical and nutrition staff was is the top concern of patient caregivers.
