The aim of this study was to determine the prevalence of DH and other etiological factors. 155 staffs at the Bao Viet Nhan Tho insurance company were examined. The results showed that the prevalence of DH was 47.74 percent. The prevalence of DH (87.83 percent) was observed between the age of 22 to 40 year old group. The highest DH incident rate was observed with those under 30th. Significantly, more female than male had DH. Dental cervical lesion was the most common etiological factor of DH. The major causing factors of DH were improper brushing, eating, and drinking acidic foods. In conclusion, the prevalence of DH was high (47.74 percent) among the working age adults in Viet Nam. Improper brushing and eating or drinking acidic foods were the etiological factors for DH, and major dental education is highly needed in Viet Nam for proper dental health in Viet Nam.
