To determine the ability of carbon stock to pay Forest environmental services, especially in different forest states carbon accumulates mainly in stand tree, so the Thanh Binh commune, Cho Moi district, Bac Kan province was selected for research, where the total forest area of 2215.75 ha. To build the map of forest biomass and carbon stocks, the research based on the analysis of satellite image building map of forest states, thereby determining forest volume and average carbon stock for each forest states by software Ecogbition 8.0 and ArcGIS 10.0. Results showed that Thanh Binh has 13 state forest and different land use, total forest area with volume is 1860.6 ha. 37 plots and 30 points test the accuracy of the map with overall accuracy = 84.5 percent were established for research. The results have showed that, the average Forest has volume 130 m3/ha and carbon stocks is 527.8 tons CO2e/ha, poor forest on the hill is 73 m3/ha and carbon stocks is 396.9 tons CO2e/ha, 61.3 m3/ha is volume of limestone forest and carbon stock is 364.1 tons of CO2e/ha, restorationed forest is 55.4 m3/ha volume and carbon stocks is 346.3 tonnes CO2e / ha, mixed forest has 60.3 m3/ha volume and carbon stocks is 361.1 tons CO2e/ha, Acacia forest has volume from 32.5 to 128m3/ha between ages of 2 to 6 years and carbon stocks ranged from 26.5 tons to 199.8 tons CO2e/ha. Based on these results maps of carbon stocks are completed. The method is feasible approach to the mapping of carbon stocks in order to provide information for forest environmental services program payments.
