In this paper, the authors focused mainly on optimizing conditions to determine the concentration of Cd and Pb using the Atomic Absorption Spectroscopy method and an atomizing technique with a graphite furnace and an Atomic Absorption Spectrophotometer (6300, Shimadzu, Japan). Under optimal conditions, the carbliration curve was established and applied to determine the Cd and Pb concentrations in 25 samples of vegetable that were being sold in Cau Giay district, Hanoi. It was found that the concentrations of Cd and Pb in the "rau muong" samples were below the amount requested by TCVN 46-2007-BYT.
