Given on various sources of material relating to the Paracel Islands of Vietnam promulgated by the government of Republic of Vietnam (often referred as the First Republic, 1954-1963), the article seeks to briefly outline the management, exploitation and protection of the Vietnam's sovereignty over the Paracellslands in the take over of those islands from French colonialism after the Geneva agreement. These activities were solid evidences to affirm the Vietnam's sovereignty over the Paracellslands in the spirit of international law.
