The relationship between human and the environment has been interested by the Western scholars since ancient times. The Greek historian. Herodotus, reported the transformation of the environment under the action of man with the concept of intervention in the vast range that human caused for nature would bear the punishment of God. In the study of culture. the natural environment has always been a focus, as it might affect the formation and development of the culture of the peoples, contribute to make a clear distinction between this region with other regions. ological balance of human life, Buddhism soon advocated to harmonize religion with the natural environment. The harmoniousness played an important role in the formation and development of special culture with the deeply traditional religion of the Khmer people in southern Vietnam.
