Background. This study was conducted with the aim: to understand the asociation betwwen dyslipoproteinemias and estimated glomerular filtration rate of lupus nephritis patients with nephrotic syndrome. Patients and Methods. One retrospective study was performed on 225 patients who had been diagnosed nephrotic syndrome in the lupus nephritis patients who were treated in Nephro-Urology, Bach Mai Hospital during 3 years from 2008 to 2010. Results. The proportion of hypercholesterolemia and hypoHDL-cholesterolemia was highest in the group of lupus nephritis patients having eGFR 30-59 ml/min/1,73m2 that was 18,9 percent with OR=2,67 (CI: 0,94-7,54
p=0,06) and 20 percent with OR=3,73 (CI: 1,11 - 12,53, p=0,03) (the reference group having eGFR or = 90ml/min/1,73m ). The proportion of hypertriglyceridemia and hypoHDL-cholesterolemia did not differ statistically among groups of lupus nephritis patients in all five categories of eGFR (the reference group having eGFR or = 90ml/min/l,73m2). Conclusions. The proportion of hypercholesterolemia and hyperLDL-cholesterolemia was highest in the group of lupus nephritis patients having eGFR 30-59 ml/min/l,73m2.
