This report shows research results of adsorbability of dye-stuff Reactive Blue 19 (RB 19) and Basic Violet 4 (BV 4) of Cao Bang manganese ore as adsorbent desiccant. Experiments were conducted with the following parameters: the mass of absorbent desiccant: 0.1 g
the volume of dye-stuff solution: 25mL
pH=6
shaking speed: 300 rounds/minute
time to reach adsorption equilibrium of both above dye-stuffs is 420 minutes at room temperature (25°C + or - 1°C). The result shows that, according to the adsorption isothermal model Langmuir, the maximum adsorption capacity of Cao Bang manganese ore for RB19 was 40.16 mg/g and for BV4 was 22.32 mg/g. This means that in the same experiment conditions, Cao Bang manganese ore adsorbs RB19 much better than BV4. The results in this report represent the way of using diverse natural minerals to treat industrial effluent containing dye-stuff.
