Objectives: To assess the mortality predictive role of multiple organ failure in pediatric septic shock at National Hospital of Pediatrics. Subjects and Methods: The prospective study described of 102 patients with septic shock aged from 1 month to 15 years admitted the PICU during 3 years (2006 - 2008). Diagnostic criteria for septic shock, respiratory failure, central nervous system impairment, hematologic disorders, renal failure, multiple organ failure followed International Pediatric Sepsis Consensus Conference 2002 (IPSCC - 2002). Multi-organ failure defined when have more than 2 organs failure. The outcome is survivor or non-survivor when patients discharge. Results: The multilple organ failure rate in pediatric septic shock patients is 97.1 percent. The organ failure significantly associated with mortality rate,are respiratory failure (p 0.0001), renal failure (p
