Lung cancer is a disease with poor prognosis, rapid progression, early metastasis to regional lymph nodes and widespread metastasis. By studying 93 patients received surgical lobectomy and systematic lymph node dissection, the result was shown that: the sum of nodes is 1154, the smallest node is Smm in diameter and the biggest node is 40mm, the median number of node is 12,1. The negative lymph node rate (52,2 percent) is higher than the positive node rate (47,8 percent), the positive nodes rate in N1 group is higher (55,7 percent) compared with positive lymph node rate in N2 group (34,3 percent). Larger lymph nodes have a higher positive ability, the nodes which are smaller than 5mm have a low positive rate (7.2 percent), in contrast the nodes larger than 20mm have positive rate is up to 85.4 percent. Lymphadenectomy bases on lymph node mapping has some difficulties, but generally radical lymphadenectomy rate is very high of 95-100 percent in each node group N1 and N2.
