The development of family medicine showed that it increased to access and to improve the quality of health care for people in community. Objective: To assess the clinical practice of family doctors in grassroot level in 7 provinces/cities in 2011. Method: A descriptive cross-sectional study. Data was collected by observation of clinical practice process and interviewing doctors. Results: Both groups of family doctors and other doctors in health fadlities serviced considerable number of patients per day (more than 30 patients/doctor/day). Two groups of doctors practiced in the same model of welcome patients, asking patients and physical examination. 73.8 percent of patients who were examed by family doctors were explained about disease, two times higher than among patients who were examed by other doctors. Family doctors also more paid attention on discussing treatment regime with patients than other doctor group (80.9 percent versus 52 percent, p 0.05). Conclusions: Family doctors focused counseling and guidance about disease and treatment for patients. These contributed to improve the quality of health care and attractiveness people using health fadlitles in grassroot level.
