Objective: to evaluate the results of retroperitoneal laparoscopic surgery for benign urological diseases in No.108 Military Central Hospital. Patients and method: A retrospective crosssectional study was performed on 554 patients (pts) with benign urological diseases who underwent retroperitoneal laparoscopic procedures from December 2008 to April 2013. Results: The procedures includes: adrenal cystectomy (3 pts), simple nephrectomy for benign diseases (119 pts), resection of benign renal tumor (1 pts, renal partial cystectomy (233 pts), upper-ureteral lithotomy (184 pts), varicocelectomy (9 pts), resection of retroperitoneal cysts (2 pts), pyeloplasty (3 pts). success rate 88.1 percent, open conversion 11.9 percent
the rate of intraand post-operative complications were 9.5 percent and 2.8 percent, respectively
no mortality
mean hospital stay from 4 to 7.4 days. Conclusion: The retroperitoneal laparoscopic surgery applied to treat some benign urological diseases in No.108 Military Central Hospital was efficient with low complications rate.
