The paper asessed facilities conditions of 34 kitchens at kindergartens at Quang Ninh district, Quang Binh province as Decision No. 15/2012/TT-BYT dated 12/9/2012 of the "Regulation on general conditions to ensure food safety for manufacturing facilities and food business". Results showed that there were 21 kitchens accounted for 61.8 percent were certificated with food hygiene and safety conditions. There were 5/21 kitchens did not develope the standards in building design. The kitchen designed on the principle of one way at delta area accounted for 71.4 percent, coastal and mountainous areas account for 83.3 percent. - 67.6 percent of kitchens surveyed met the requirement conditions on the ceiling, floor and wall. - 4 percent of kitchens had waste containers with lids and waste was collected regularly. - Water use in kitchens was mainly from wells accounted for 58.8 percent . - 97.4 percent kitchens used plastic bags for food packaging, only 38.2 percent kitchens used right detergent as list from MOH.
