Objective: Evaluate the results of treatment for 31 patients with Infective Endocarditis at Viet-Tiep Hai Phong Frendship Hospital from January 2010 to june 2013 Methods: Clinical intervention, selectively, not control. Results: Age with 40.8 + or - 14.5 years, 54.8 percent male, 45.2 percent female. 90.6 percent of patients with a history of rheumatic heart disease, congenital heart Disease. Common clinical symptoms: fever lasts 37.5°C - 39°C, avanced failure heart. Rate of blood culture (+) is 38 percent, Vegetation on the edge of the heart valves and ventricular septal hole (100 percent). Conclusion: Clinical diagnosis, subclinical manifestations of infective endocarditis: are 2 major criteria (38.7 percent) or 1 major criterion and 3 sub-standard criteria Duke is 61.3 percent. Duration of therapy is discharged from 33.1 + or - 7.8 days. Combining at least two types of antibiotics. The two ,regimens combined or used antibiotics: Aminozid + beta lactam, quinolone + beta lactams, vancomycin + Aminozid, beta lactam + vancomycin. Treatment of severe heart failure, cardiogenic shock: taking Digoxin 0,5mg-1mg/IV, Dopamine 20-50 ug/kg/min/IV and or Dobutamine 30-80ug/kg/min/IV. Treatment recovery for all body: Human albumin 50ml/24 hour/IV and 250ml/24 or fresh Plasma /IV(rate 12.9 percent). The rate of effective therapy is 71 percent, 29 percent mortality rate. The complications of severe failure heart, no recovery of 41.9 percent, 22.6 percent embolism, septic shock (9.7 percent).
