Objective: Assessing the effectiveness of voluntary blood donation activities at the Nghe An Hematology and Blood Transfusion Center from January 2010 to December. Material and method: Retrospective descriptive study combined prospective with volunteer blood donors to give blood at the Nghe An Hematology and Blood Transfusion Center and at the point of donating blood at the blood donation club volunteers, universities, colleges, technical schools and voluntary blood donation sites in the district - in the Nghe An and Ha Tinh. Result: Since the establishment of the Nghe An Hematology and Blood Transfusion Center, the number of voluntary blood collection centers in 2013 increased 2.65 times in 2010, no state sales professional in the area of blood. Most of the districts organized voluntary blood donation with rate increased to 7.3 times compared with 2010. In particular, the high mountainous districts have organized voluntary blood donation movement in 2012. The universities, colleges, has established clubs of voluntary blood donation, the blood donation movement is more sustainable and source of blood supply is more stable. Conclusion: Voluntary blood donation movement in the Nghe An Hematology and Blood Transfusion Center increasingly sustainable and stable source of blood supply for medical treatment.
