Objective: To describe the current situation in management and treatment of Epilepsy as well as other related factors at national level and two provinces: Hung Yen and Phu Tho. Methodology: Cross stectional study, in combination with qualitative and quantitative methods in Phu Tho and Hung Yen provinces from January, 2013 - March, 2013. Results: The prevalence of epilepsy in Phu Tho was 106 patients per 100,000 people and the total number of patients on treatment of epilepsy was 1,407 patients. In Hung Yen province, the prevalence of epilepsy was 179 patients per 100,000 people and the total number of patients on treatment of epilepsy was 2,064 patients (2012). The number of doctors specialized in psychiatry is 0.75/100,000 people. There is still a large number of patients not coming for treatment.
