Diabetes is a global epidemic in the 21th century, which is increasing in Vietnam due to changes of lifestyle. The hypoglycemic effect of mulberry leaves was proven by many studj.es. The main objective of this study is to determine the hypoglycemic effect of mulberry leaf extracts in type 2 diabetic patients. The results indicated that extracts of mulberry leaves reduced glycemia of type 2 diabetic patients through decreasing the HbA1c level and SOD activity.
