Objective: To study the levels of uric acid in Army Group "X" officials to evaluate the relationship between a number of habits in daily life and hyperuricemia. Subjects and Methods: A prospective, crosssectional descriptive study was done over 865 officials currently working for Army Group "X". Their health was checked from March, 2012 to March, 2013. Results: The average age of the group was 49.54 + or - 3.47 . The average value of blood uric acid concentrations of the studied groups was 369.49 umol/l (male 370.08
female 242.50). Conclusion: The rate of hyperuricemia was 26.7 percent and there is some relationship between habits and risk factors for blood uric acid levels. The higher the age was, the more steadily blood uric acid levels increased. Through survey process, the authors discovered a positive correlation between serum uric acid concentrations and age, high alcohol consumption, smoking, high protein diet and training regime.
