Objectives: Study the clinical characteristics of isolated sphenoid sinus diseases, from there the study helps to orient the indication of paraclinical exams to diagnose these diseases. Materials and Methods: A retrospective case study with in(ervension research 35 patients were diagnosed with isolated sphenoid sinus diseases from 1/2009 to 12/2013 Results: In the 33 patients studied, 26 patients had inflammatory disease, 7 patients were affected of tumor pathology. Common symptoms are headache account for 90.9 percent, blew down sputum to throat were 54.5 percent. decrease of vision accounted for 15.2 percent, very common in tumor pathology. Endoscopic examination shows the mucosal swelling and degradation of sphenoethmoidal recess, accounting for 57.6 percent. CT Scanner shows the heterogeneous image, thickening of bony walls of the sinus in fungal sinus disease
image of widen sinus and bony defect in mucoceles. Conclusion: The most common symptoms are headache, blew down sputum to throat. CT Scanner is a useful method for diagnosis.
