Children infected with Enterobius vermicularis are still a community health problem. Therefore, it is necessary to detect and intervene the prevention of children infected with Enterobius vermicularis. the research is conducted in order to aim at following objectives: - To identify prevalence rate of Enterobius vermicularis in children and surroundings at three kindergartens of Lien Bao, Hoa Sen and Ngo Quyen in Vinh Yen city, Vinh Phuc province
- To determine effectiveness of interventions through health education and treatment of Oxyuriasis in children. By the cross - sectional study in combination with an intervention study in pre-school children and surroundings in three kindergartens of Lien Bao, Hoa Sen and Ngo Quyen in Vinh Yen city, Vinh Phuc province, the authors obtained the following results: The prevalence rate of infection of Enterobius vermicularis in children of Lien Bao Kindergarten before intervention was 28.65 percent, after intervention was 1.68 percent.The rates of floors and toys found infected with eggs of Enterobius vermicularis were 1.6 percent and 5 percent consecutively. The prevalence rate of infection of Enterobius vermicularis in children of Hoa Sen Kindergarten before intervention was 22.3 percent, after intervention was 0.85 percent. The rates of floors and toys found infected with eggs of Enterobius vermicularis were 2.4 percent and 1.67 percent consecutively. The prevalence rate of infection of Enterobius vermicularis in children of Ngo Quyen Kindergarten before intervention was 14.39 percent, after intervention was 0.0 percent. The rates of floors and toys found infected with eggs of Enterobius vermicularis were 1.6 percenti and 1.67 percent consecutively.
