Descriptive cross-sectional study on 400 mothers who gave birth in the 6 months prior to the survey shows results: 88.2 percent of the mothers know the need to take supplements of Vitamin A after delivery, but only 83.7 percent of the mothers have right understanding of the time for taking Vitamin A. The avoiding working hard after delivery was reported by 96.2 percent of the mothers, but the rate of the mothers knowing about the need for early mobilization after delivery accounted for only 92.8 percent. The rate of the mothers who know that beside having normal meals, the mother needs to eat more foods with protein, fat and fresh fruit reached 99.8 percent
however, sufficiently drinking of water after breastfeeding was reported by only 88.2 percent of the mothers. The contraceptive methods such as condoms, IUDs were respectively reported by 88.5 percent and 85.5 percent of the mother, this rate is higher than those of the other contraceptive methods. Injectable contraceptive DMPA was reported by only 16.8 percent of the mothers.
