Vietnamese short stories have, since 1986, shifted dramatically in narrative form. The role of the omniscient narrator has been replaced by multiple narratives. Point of view in the story is now constantly moving and shifting with a decentralization of narrative subjects. This change creates a democratic relationship between the text and.the reader. The works have been extended their reflection amplitude through the multi-dimensional reception effects from the readers.
