Magnetic iron oxide nanoparticles coated with chitosan were synthesised using the method of partial reduction of Fe3+ in the presence of chitosan. The structure of the synthesised'product as well as morphology of the product were examined referring to XRD spectrum and SEM photos. The obtained magnetic iron oxide nanoparticles coated with chitosan were used to remove arsenic from water. The study results showed that the synthesised product can be used to efficiently eliminate arsenic from ground water.
