Objectives: To evaluate the treatment efficacy of Methotrexate 7.5mg/week and topical 5 percent Salicylic oil for Psoriasis vulgaris. Materials and methods: 37 patients with psoriasis vulgaris were hospitalized and treated with Methotrexate 7.5mg/week and topical 5 percent Salicylic oil twice daily for 4 weeks. Results: Methotrexate 7.5mg/week and topical 5 percent Salicylic oil showed significant improvement. PASI decreased by 61.57 percent after Week 4. Conclusions: Methotrexate 7.5mg/week and topical 5 percent Salicylic oil are efficacious and well-tolerated in the treatment of psoriasis vulgaris.
