Burns are a common traumata in daily life, whose treatment is costly and still with the side effects. The berberine solution has been used for the treatment of human burn wounds. In this study, the treatment effects of berberine cream 1 percent on burn wounds were evaluated on 30 rabbits with burn injuries. The results showed that the berberine cream 1 percent inhibited bacteria replica.tion as well as stimulated the wound healing for soft scars and safety.
