Objectives: To study the relationship between baseline LDH level and treatment results of nonhodgkin lymphoma patients by CHOP at the No.108 Central Military Hospital from June 2008 to June 2013. Patients and Methods: Retrospective and prospective researches on 90 patients and their medical records diagnosed non-hodgkin lymphoma based on clinical manifestation and histology. Results: 60 percent of the patients were complete response
28,8 percent were partial response and no response in 11,2 percent. The patients with normal baseline LDH level had complete and partial response which were higher than the ones with baseline LDH 250 U/I (p=0,015 va p = 0,035). Overal and disease Free Survival in the patients with baseline LDH 250 U/I were shorter than the others with normal baseline LDH (26 +/- 4 months versus 47 +/- 3 months) and (24 +/- 6 months versus 36 +/- 3 months) (p0,001). 3 years as and DFS accumulative rate in the patients with normal baseline LDH was higher than in those with baseline LDH 250 Ull (74,9 percent versus 36,2 percent
69,2 percent versus 44,1 percent)(p0,001). Conclusions: There was the relationship between baseline LDH level and therapy response, indicating that the patients with normal LDH level provide better therapy response compared to those with higher LDH level.
