This paper aims to study the change of climate during period of 1980-2013 in Dai Loc district, simultaneously, build the drought risk map for supporting in making decision in agricultural production planning. The results showed that average max-temperature in June during period of 2000-2013 increased about 1°C compared with 1980-1989 period and OSC higher than period of 1990-1999. Observed precipitation in June in the period of 2000-2013 significantly decreased from 35 to 40 percent compared with 19801989 period. Severe drought will appear at communes of Vu Gia and Thu Bon river downstream such as Dai Hiep, Dai Hoa, Ai Nghia and Dai Minh. Severe drought area occupies 10 percent (5,500 ha), inedium drought is 23.5 percent (13,500 ha), mild drought occupies 36 percent (21,000 ha) and non-drought area is 30.5 percent (17,500 ha). Mild drought and non-drought areas concentrate at Dai Son and Dai Chanh communes. For paddy field and annual crop area, severe drought occupies 25.93 percent (2,398.5 ha), medium drought is 32 percent (2.659.6 ha), mild drought occupies 19.4 percent (1,797.2 ha) and non-drought area is 22.64 percent (2,093.2 ha). Drought level from medium drought to severe drought mostly appears in Dai Hiep, Ai Nghia, Dai Nghia, Dai Minh, Dai Cuong and Dai Quang. In Dai Son, Dai Chanh and Dai Thanh, the level of drought on paddy field and annual crop is negligible area.
