The study was performed to calculate, design, manufacture and experiment of a pilot paddy silo with automatic ventilation system using fan and stirring equipments. The ventilation parameters such as fan and stirring equipments of the silo were installed and monitored automatically. The experimental results showed the effective heat insulation of improved two-layer wall. The result of planning experiment determined two regression equations describe the effect of operating parameters of stirring equipments to efficiency of stirring and ventilating of the silo. The optimal operating parameters of stirring equipments were determined. The results of the eight months preservation in the silo shown the quality of paddy such as germination ratio, crack ratio, discolored grains ratio, insects and moisture content of paddy are meet Vietnam standards. The predicted equation of germination ratio, crack ratio and discolored grains ratio versus preservation time in the silo were determined.
