 The subject were studied on the method of salinity reduction of bottom sediments from intensive shrimp ponds (litopenaeus vannamei) in order to assess the fluctuation of several parameters of sediment nutrients in intensive shrimp ponds, and the electrical conductivity (EC) in range of the safe level for planting (EC4 mS/cm). Sediment samples were determined nutrients sediment at 01, 60 and 90 days after reducing salinity. For the treatment of sediment thickness were 10 cm and 20 cm with total rainfall of 822 mm. The EC values ranged from 3.5 to 4.0 mS/cm after 90 days
  the average organic matter content was about 2.17 percent in range of the medium level. The NH4+ nitrogen and phosphorus were about 13.77 mg/kg and 7.59 mg/kg respectively that were fairly rich. Total potassium were approximately 1.91 percent to 2.14 percent. After reducing salinity bottom sediment from intensive shrimp ponds have the high level of nutrients and the sediment salinity do not toxic to plants. The sediment after reducing salinity could be reused to compost the organic fertilizers for protecting the environment of intensive shrimp systems.
