 Exploitation of food resources from crop products is a key direction for our country's livestock industry. In which the legumes products with high protein, rich in lipids, minerals and vitamins are particularly important direction. Summer-Autumn 2011, the Mucuna prurient collection consists of 37 genetic resources from national plant gene banks have been studied on morphology, growth, tolerance and yield potential in drough conditions in An Khanh commune, Hoai Duc district, Ha Noi. Results were recorded 80 percent of genetic resources with pod length from 12.1 to 18.0 cm, pod width 2.6 cm, slightly curved shape. Growth behavior of genetic resources are divided into 6 types of growth. 100 percent of genetic resources fairly drought at 1-3, the mong 9 drought tolerant genetic resources points 1

Most of the genetic resources reach 40-50 pods/plant, 5-7 seeds / pod, 100-130 g / 100 seeds, 400-500 g/plant and potential yield from 2.0-3.0 tons / ha in drought conditions. In particular results have identified 8 potential varieties with seed yield from 3.36 to 5.0 tons / ha. This is an important material source of material for developing livestock foods in Vietnam.
