In the second half of the nineteenth century, the United States was an emerging force, unable to compete with colonies with other powers. Therefore, the United States was forced to find allies, and the US choice was Japan. As for Japan, due to its weak ability, it must be colluded with the US, seeking security support and taking advantage of the US economic and political weight to expand its influence.
