Chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD) is worldwide concern due to the incidence is increasing in incidence of morbidity and mortality. The objective of the study was to describe the current state of knowledge about COPD and practice self-care in patients with COPD in Thai Nguyen. A cross-sectional descriptive study, using convenient sampling, included 98 with COPD are direct interview and observed patients performing care practice skills. The results showed that a higher percentage of men and women 88.8%, 11.2%, up to 75.5% had to have a history of smoking, tobacco. Knowledge of COPD was in moderate and practical skills of patient care was not properly implemented in several steps in such techniques.
