Tóm tắt

Broadband multi-service traffic is transported over the next generation core network based on IP/MPLS/optical technology. The traffic of IP packets is aggregated from component traffics over different access, peering and service-providing networks. It is proved in the paper that traffic over the next generation core network exposes distinct features such as burstiness and self-similarity compared with traditional one. Traffic analysis has practical significance and plays an important role in supporting performance analysis, network planning, designing and traffic engineering for improving quality of service.
