Competence-based approach is Vietnam general education orientation after 2018. This paper proposes teaching methods for lessons of Storytelling witnessed or partaken toward competence development. Also, it provides guidelines on implementing these methods to specific topics. The suggested methods contribute to improving lesson-type instructions and 5- graders' comprehensive competence development.
