Before becoming an important economic partner, Vietnam and Taiwan had very limited economic relations until late 1980s due to many objective and subjective reasons. From the 1990s, in a new context with a lot of favorable changes in the world and in the region, the economic cooperation between the two countries has become more dynamic and efficient, and achieved breakthrough development. However, difficulties and challenges had also arisen and should have been solved by both parties at that time, Vietnam is taken into account. The article aims to explore and analyze a few key issues in the economic relations between Vietnam and Taiwan from 1992 to the first half of 2016, contexts, features, development orientation, commercial achievements, investment and issues. In addition, it predicts the prospects of this relation in the future.
