The experiment was conducted on a total of 450 unsexed day-old -chicks of each Choi, LV and crossbred between Choi roosters and LV hens at Thuy Phuong Poultry Research Centre. The chickens of each breed were devided into 3 groups as replicates under the completely randomized design, there were 50 unsexed chickens in each replicate. The birds were reared for a period of 14 weeks. The experiment results show that crossbreds gained high survival rate (96.67 percent), body weight at 14 weeks old is 2102.09 g/bird with the average heterosis of 4.01 percent, average absolute growth is 21.07 g/bird/day, feed comsumption/kg of weight gain is 3.46 kg with the average heterosis of -0.14 percent. Thigh rate from 23.14 percent to 24.11 percent
breast rate from 16.5 percent to 17.87 percent (fitting the tastes of domestic consumers). Economic efficiency is calculated to 4,543,947 VND/100 birds reared.
