Application of the drilling technology for water drainage at underground coal mines beneath dump site old working areas of an open pit mine or beneath a water bearing area, water reserves is one of effective measures in keeping safety in mining. In this paper, the authors represent some research results on the application of the drilling technology for water drainage in II-V14 area of the mining project below -50m level at Ha Lam coal mine which is located beneath a dump site of an open pit mine.
