The researchers have chosen a method for teaching self-support skills of ID which is a very effective method. To see the effectiveness of the string method in teaching self-support skills for ID, the author conducted an experiment on an ID child, the process was as follows: Evaluation of the childs needs: adaptive behavior scale: ABS- S: 2, intervention planning, implementation of intervention plans and evaluation results. After assessing by ABS-S:2 and combined interviews with their teachers, parents and observing them, the author decided to teach him skills to eat rice with the string method used in the form of string concentration backwards. The results after 3 weeks of teaching two sessions per week, each session consisting of 30 minutes teaching, they can eat with a spoon, does not drop without helping. Thus, the artucle confirm that the String method is one of the effective teaching methods when teaching self-support help skills for ID (an important life skill helps ID become more independent in life).
