In professional standards for general education teachers, self-learning capacity is considered a part of career development. This is a very important skill for all teachers. Through practical training and standardizing school teachers in the form of distance education and of fostering teachers m cycles in Kien Giang province, the author establishes that teachers' self-learning capacity has an important influence on raising the quality of education. It is not only a duty but also a demand on teachers. For that reason, taking measures to manage and promote teachers' self-learning capacity from the beginning of their pedagogical college, is necessary.
