The study aims to evaluate initial outcome of lateral arm flap for coverage of small to moderatedsized defects. From January 2010 to December 2010, in the Department of Maxillo-facial and Plastic Surgery, CMH 108 nice lateral arm flaps were used to coverage oral defects after tumor resectn. Results show that flap cutaneous dimensions ranged from 6-7 cm in width and 12-14 cm in length. 8/9 flaps survived, one flap failure. All donor sites were closed primarily. In conclusion, the lateral arm flap can be considered safe and versatile for small to moderated-sized defects in the head and neck.
