A study was carried out in 16 patients with von Willebrand disease (vWD) indude 3 patients with vWD type 1 and 13 patients with vWD type 3 in National Institute of Hematology and Blood Transfusion. Result shows that: ratio of male: female was 1:1, ratio of family history with bleeding was 37.5 percent, almost of them were diagnosed lately, the first time diagnosed was 19.6 + or - 12.9, the median age was 26.8 + or - 19.6. The most common of bleeding were purpura, epixtasis, bleeding in gum, menorrhagia (87.5 percent - 100 percent). Bleeding in joint and muscle were less frequently (37.5 percent). Value screening test for vWD were blood clot contraction test, number of platelet, Am. Almost d patient has blood dot contraction not compJet:aj, prolong Am and number of platelet normal. Facia VIII, vWF:Ag and vWF:Act. were decrease. Platelet aggreation with ristcx:etin decreased and was sensitive test for diagnosis vWD.
